Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MayaPix ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MayaPix provides an API and dashboard for image processing services including compression, resizing, cropping, background removal, watermarking, face centering, subject cropping, and smart compression. We also offer optional integrations with e-commerce platforms such as Salla and Shopify to process product images automatically. The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You may not share your account or API keys with others

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Process illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits or rate limiting
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated tools to create multiple accounts
  • Process content that violates others' privacy

5. Third-Party Integrations

When you connect MayaPix to a third-party platform (e.g., Salla or Shopify), you authorize us to access and modify product images on your behalf. You agree that:

  • You have the right to connect that store and modify its product images
  • You are responsible for the platform's terms of service and any fees they charge
  • We may process images automatically when triggered by the platform's webhooks or by your manual sync request
  • You may disconnect the integration at any time from your dashboard

6. Usage Limits & Billing

  • Free accounts are limited to 50 images per month
  • Paid plans have limits as described on the pricing page
  • Unused quota does not roll over to the next month
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that exceed limits
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to images you upload or that we process through your connected integrations. You grant us a limited license to process your images as necessary to provide the Service.

Our Service: MayaPix and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security reasons. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAYAPIX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
